Our Team

Russ Gehrett

Founder & Managing Partner

Russ is the Founder and Managing Partner of FalconPoint Partners. Russ has spent his career tailoring flexible and scaled capital solutions for companies in the business services, industrial and consumer sectors.

Prior to founding FalconPoint Partners, Russ established and led the New York office for Wynnchurch Capital. Previously, he helped launch Pamplona Capital Management’s New York office in 2012. He began his career in the leveraged finance group at Jefferies & Company, before joining the investment team at Wellspring Capital Management.

Russ currently serves on the board of directors of Jennmar Holdings and BrightAI. Select prior board roles include Premier Franchise Management, Privia Health (NASDAQ: PRVA), Latham Group (NASDAQ: SWIM), iFit, Mattress Warehouse, Bass Pro Shops, CSC ServiceWorks, Alvogen, Beacon Rail Leasing, and OMNI Environmental Solutions.

Russ holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife live in Rye, NY with their three children.

Andrew Singer

Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Andrew is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer at FalconPoint Partners.

Previously, Andrew co-led the Wynnchurch Capital New York office. Before joining Wynnchurch, Andrew spent ten years at Pamplona Capital Management, pursuing and managing investments in the industrials, business services, and healthcare sectors. He began his career in the M&A group at BofA Merrill Lynch.

Andrew currently serves on the board of directors of Jennmar Holdings and has previously served on the boards of several public and private companies, including Parexel (NASDAQ: PRXL), Premier Franchise Management, iFit, Latham Group (NASDAQ: SWIM), Calyx, and Spreemo. He has also been involved in investments in Bass Pro Shops, Alvogen, and Privia Health (NASDAQ: PRVA).

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Enterprise Management from the Wake Forest University School of Business. He and his wife live in Larchmont, NY with their four children.

Adam Gross

Partner & Head of Business Development and Capital Markets

Adam is a Partner and Head of Business Development and Capital Markets at FalconPoint Partners.

 

Adam brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, and business development to the FalconPoint team. Prior to joining FalconPoint, Adam was a Managing Director at Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), a global alternative asset investment platform with over $100 billion in AUM. Previously, he spent 15 years at Barclays, most recently as a Managing Director within the Investment Bank, responsible for many of the firm’s most important middle market and large cap private equity clients. During his time at Barclays, Adam served as an advisor to FalconPoint’s principals on many of the team’s most successful transactions. Earlier, Adam was an Associate Director at Bear Stearns and a Consultant at Accenture. He holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and is a graduate of the University of Michigan. He and his wife live in Mamaroneck, NY with their two children.

Alex Hawkinson

Operating Partner

Alex is an Operating Partner at FalconPoint Partners.

Alex leads technology and digital efforts for FalconPoint, and has worked with Russ and Andrew for nearly a decade. Alex is a serial entrepreneur with a track record for building world class companies. One of those businesses, BrightAI (www.bright.ai) was launched with the goal of supporting the technological transformation of businesses alongside the FalconPoint principals. Earlier in his career, Alex founded and sold SmartThings to Samsung, in 2014. At the time, SmartThings was the world’s largest internet of things (IoT) platform.

Alex currently serves on the board of directors of Efficient, BrightAI, OurSky AI, Pelsis, Strikepoint, and iFIT.  His previous board roles include CSC ServiceWorks, SmartThings, and Latham Group (NASDAQ: SWIM).

Vijay Maharaj

Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer

Vijay is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at FalconPoint Partners.

Previously, Vijay held senior finance roles at GreyLion Partners LP, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC and CCMP Capital Advisors, LP. Vijay began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP in the Investment Management practice serving a wide range of asset managers, before leaving as a senior manager. Vijay holds a BA in Mathematics from Manhattanville College and an MBA in Accounting from the Rutgers Business School. Vijay is a CFA Charterholder and is a Certified Public Accountant. He and his wife live in Manhattan, NY with their two daughters.

Mike Moriel

Vice President

Mike is a Vice President at FalconPoint Partners.

Prior to FalconPoint, Mike was an investor at Pamplona Capital Management, pursuing investments in the industrials, business services, and consumer sectors. Mike began his career in the consumer & retail advisory group at Rothschild & Co. Mike holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University.

Geena Dai

Vice President

Geena is a Vice President at FalconPoint Partners.

Prior to FalconPoint, Geena was a member of the private equity team at Oaktree Capital Management in their Power Opportunities group, investing in market-leading companies that provide essential products and services for critical infrastructure. Previously, she spent time at Citadel, Moelis & Company, and Barclays investment banking.  Geena holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance from Duke University.

Ethan John

Associate

Ethan is an Associate at FalconPoint Partners.

Prior to FalconPoint, Ethan was an Investment Banking Associate in the Global Industrials Group at Barclays and focused on executing mergers and acquisitions, leveraged finance and equity capital markets transactions. Ethan holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.

Elle Hathaway

Operations Associate

Elle is an Operations Associate at FalconPoint Partners.

Prior to FalconPoint, Elle was a Technology Assurance Auditor at KPMG. Elle holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Management & Technology from Syracuse University.

Tony Colarusso

Executive Advisor

Tony is the Managing Partner of FoxPath Capital Partners, a specialist credit secondary investment firm. Tony has over 23 years of experience working with private equity funds in a wide range of advisory roles, including M&A, Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, GP-Led Secondaries and Legal Advisory. Tony spent the bulk of his career at Morgan Stanley, most recently as the Global Head of Private Capital Advisory. He has worked extensively on financing sponsor backed transactions, having completed over 200 successful transactions totaling $300bn+ of aggregate value, including a number of deals with the FalconPoint team over the past decade. Tony began his career as a private equity attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Tony received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University.

Joel Culp

Executive Advisor

Joel served as Chief Marketing Officer of the Latham Group (NASDAQ: SWIM) from 2019 through 2023. At Latham, Joel was responsible for all aspects of the Company’s go-to-market transformation. This included the integration of over thirty trade brands into a unified and relaunched consumer focused brand and the creation of a new digital-first customer acquisition funnel. Prior to this role, Joel ran global marketing, design and product strategy for Wilsonart, LLC (a CD&R portfolio company) as well as similar roles at Masterbrand Cabinets, Uponor, and the Kohler Company.

Bob Evans

Executive Advisor

Bob serves on the boards of Latham Group (NASDAQ: SWIM), Quirch Foods and Del Real Foods. He previously served on the board of BakeMark Foods. In his career as an operator, Bob was the CFO of Performance Food Group Company (NASDAQ: PFGC), a distributor of food products. He began his career in roles of escalating responsibility at PepsiCo and Kellogg. Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College, an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Public Administration from Princeton University.

Manny Fernandez

Executive Advisor

Manny currently serves as lead independent director for Performance Food Group (NYSE: PFGC) and a director at Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG). He previously served on the board of Brunswick (NYSE: BC) for over 20 years, with the majority of those years as the lead independent director and the final two as Chairman of the Board. Manny was previously Chairman and CEO (1991–2001) of Gartner (IT consulting and research), where he grew the company from $40 million in annual revenues to $900 million, while market capitalization grew to over $4 billion after a 1994 IPO (NYSE: IT). Other prior public boards include Sysco (NYSE: SYY) (where he was chairman), Time, Inc. (NYSE: TIME), Flowers Foods, Inc. (NYSE: FLO), and Stanley Black and Decker (NYSE: SWK).

Tom Fitzgerald

Tom is the Chief Financial Officer of Planet Fitness (NYSE: PLNT). Tom has over 30 years of leadership experience in financial management in the retail industry, most recently serving as CFO at Potbelly Sandwich Works. Prior to Potbelly, he served in varying executive roles at Sears, Burlington Coat Factory, and Bath & Body Works. Tom began his career at PepsiCo, where he held various leadership roles in finance and planning. Mr. Fitzgerald holds an M.B.A. from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida.

Bari Harlam

Bari currently serves on the boards of directors of OneWater Marine (NASDAQ: ONEW), Rite-Aid, Mattress Warehouse, Mohawk Group and Champion Petfoods. She most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for Hudson’s Bay. Prior to this Bari, served in roles of escalating responsibility for BJ’s Wholesale and CVS Health. She also has served as an adjunct professor at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Bari received her Bachelor of Science, Masters, and Ph.D. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Parth Mehrotra

Parth is the Chief Executive Officer of Privia Health (NASDAQ: PRVA) after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer for over 7 years. He oversees company efforts around growth, financial and operational efficiency across all markets, and Privia’s strategy, innovation, and business development efforts. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Brighton Health Group, the former parent company of Privia Health. Prior to joining Brighton, Parth held various appointments, such as Senior Financial Officer of athenahealth (NASDAQ: ATHN), member of the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Goldman Sachs and a management consultant with Accenture. Parth received his M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.

Brian Recatto

Executive Advisor

Brian Recatto is President and CEO of Heritage-Crystal Clean (formerly, NASDAQ: HCCI) and has served on its board of directors since 2012. Before being named CEO in February 2017, Brian served as President of U.S. Operations for Gibson Energy, Inc., one of the largest independent midstream energy companies in Canada, and a major U.S. crude oil logistics operator. Brian joined Gibson through its acquisition of OMNI Energy Services (NASDAQ: OMNI), where he served in various executive positions including Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Gibson, he was President of Charles Holston, Inc., a waste management and environmental cleaning company, from 2004 to 2007. Brian also spent seven years with Philip Services Corporation, where he served in various operating and executive positions, including roles as General Manager of Gulf Coast Waste Operations, Senior Vice President By-Products Service Group, and President of Industrial Services. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Louisiana State University.

Jocelyn Wong

Jocelyn currently serves on the boards of directors of Mattress Warehouse, Wilsonart, and the Mars Agency. She previously served as the Chief Customer Officer at rapidly scaling instant-needs delivery service Gopuff ($15bn+ valuation) as well as a director for Barrette Outdoor Living. Her career in retail spans three leading channels through terms as Chief Marketing Officer at both Lowe’s Companies and Family Dollar and as Group Vice President of Shopper Marketing at Safeway.

Scott Perper

Executive Advisor

In 1988, Scott co-founded Pamlico Capital, a top-performing middle-market private equity firm focused on supporting growing companies in the business services sector. In addition to scaling the firm to over 35 professionals and $3.5 billion of capital under management, Scott has led deals and served on boards of as Hosting.com, American Renal Holdings, Inflow, NuVox Communications, USA Compression Partners, and more. Prior to Pamlico Capital, Scott worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Scott also chairs the board of Trustees at Bowdoin. Scott received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College.
